Matthew Lenton, Artistic Director

Matthew is founder of Vanishing Point and has directed or co-directed all of the company’s productions. Outside Vanishing Point, Matthew has directed for The Tron Theatre Glasgow, the Traverse Theatre Edinburgh, The National Theatre of Scotland, Carnegie Hall Dunfermline and the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.

Severine Wyper, General Manager

Severine has been General Manager of Vanishing Point since 2002. Prior to this she worked developing and managing numerous art installation projects, multimedia works and commercial websites. Since joining Vanishing Point, Severine has overseen projects including the large scale site specific work A Brief History of Time, international tours of Invisible Man and Lost Ones and a number of UK tours.

Kate Hancock, Administrator

Kate graduated from Flinders University, South Australia with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in Drama and English. She was Workshop Coordinator for Urban Myth Theatre of Youth and a member of the Restless Dance Youth Ensemble. In 2006 Kate co-founded Maiden Theatre Company and performed in Low Level Panic as part of the Adelaide Fringe Festival. Kate joined Vanishing Point as Administrator in June 2007.

Sandy Grierson, Performer

Sandy has worked on Vanishing Point's Mancub, Lost Ones, Stars Beneath the Sea and Invisible Man. David Johnstone's Lazzi (Mr Pinocchio, Witkacy Idiota) and Zofia Kalinska's Ariel Teatr (Little Requiem for Kantor, Dybbuk, Night of the Great Season) and Edinburgh’s Puppetlab have formed the basis of his training. Other companies he has performed with include: The National Theatre of Scotland, The Citizens’ Theatre, Communicado, The Young Vic, Wee Stories, Sweetscar, Prime Productions, and Periplum. He has also worked frequently in radio with Loftis Productions.

Kai Fischer, Set and Lighting Designer

Kai has been working with Vanishing Point since 1998, when he designed the set and lighting for Last Stand. Since then he has worked with the company on all their shows apart from The Sightless - which was performed without a set and in total darkness!

Recent set and lighting designs for other companies include Home (Caithness) for the National Theatre of Scotland and Fewer Emergencies for Ankur Productions, as well as a new design for the Mancub revival as part of the National Theatre of Scotland’s Ensemble tour.

As a lighting designer Kai has worked with many Scottish theatre companies including Carnegie Hall Dunfermline, Citizens Theatre Glasgow, Dundee Rep, KtC, National Theatre of Scotland, Perth Theatre, Royal Lyceum Edinburgh, Theatre Babel, Traverse Theatre Edinburgh, Tron Theatre Glasgow and Visible Fictions.

Alasdair Macrae, Musical Director/Performer

Alasdair trained in Theatre Arts at Langside College, Glasgow and as worked as an associate of Vanishing Point on a number of shows. He was the composer, musical director and performer on Lost Ones and performed and played live in Invisible Man. He has also worked in theatre with Borderline, Hopscotch, The Tron, Mischief La-Bas, The Traverse, The Arches, The Kings Theatre Glasgow, Take Two Productions and National Theatre of Scotland. Alasdair also has a busy career as a professional musician.
